On the great plains of the Midwest, coyotes are hunted by men and dogs. Most hunting dogs follow their noses; gazehounds hunt with their eyes. They are bred for speed. Without making judgments about hunting in this manner, we aimed our curiosity toward understanding these dogs' complicated relationships with their people and their job.
